Sir Alex Ferguson endorses the Street CraneXpress Apprenticeship Programme

Sir Alex Ferguson and Ray FletcherFormer Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson visited the AMRC on 8th March 2016 to see the work now being done there and meet some of the employers offering what he called “these fantastic opportunities”.

Street CraneXpress currently has nine apprentices at various stages in the company’s structured mentor programme, with the latest recruits undertaking their studies at the ARMC.

During his visit, Sir Alex, who started out as an apprentice tool maker in Glasgow before becoming famous for winning 13 Premier League titles, five FA Cups and two UEFA Champions League titles with Manchester United, told Street CraneXpress Director Ray Fletcher how impressed he was with what was being offered: “Until recently there were no opportunities for apprenticeships, but I know from my own experience how valuable they are, that’s why I am so impressed with the venture here.”
